Mayawati suspends Mirzapur DIG
Allahabad, December 22
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today suspended Mirzapur division DIG K.N. Meena on the charge of failing to contain rising crime in Naxal-infested division of the state bordering Bihar. Mr Meena has been suspended for failing to control the crime graph in the division despite the deployment of adequate security personnel to contain Naxal-related incidents. PTI
