New Delhi, December 2
It is being claimed to be the mega school event. The dance and drama extravaganza, organised by Francis De Sales to commemorate its silver jubilee celebrations, had about 2,000 children taking part in a single audio-visual spectacle.

Titled ‘Evanescent Dreams’, the dance extravaganza was directed by Shrivardhan Trivedi and Ish Amitoj of the National School of Drama and the music was composed by A. J. Sen of the band, Euphoria.

The show began with the betrayal of Christ by Judas and His subsequent resurrection and the musical journey travelled across centuries of love and hatred, in a bid to relive the beauty that endangered life through war and peace.

The bilingual play crossed cultural, religious and national boundaries depicting humanity’s crusade against evil with allusions to diverse and diametric personalities like Jesus, Godse, Chandragupta and Mother Teresa.

Among those present were Mr Arjun Singh, MP, Mr Haroon Yusuf, Minister of Food and Civil Supplies, Delhi, and Anil Coutto, Auxiliary Bishop of Delhi.
