New block of Civil Hospital

Ludhiana, November 26
The new 60-bed block of Lord Mahavira Civil Hospital will be inaugurated on November 28. Over Rs 2 crore has been spent on the construction of the new block by the Punjab Health System Corporation (PHSC).

Dr Y.C. Markan, Senior Medical Officer, Civil Hospital, said that the new block would have all the OPDs, including medicine, psychiatry, surgery, family planning, gynaecology, paediatrics and eye. “We have all the latest infrastructure, testing equipment and medical specialists in the hospital. A dispensary has also been constructed in the new building. The billing section will be computerised,” said Dr Markan.

The new building will have four operation theatres and one labour room.
