Shastri Club beat A R Gym

A 98-run third-wicket partnership between skipper Rajan Gupta (84) and Gourav Chabra (56) enabled Lal Bahadur Shastri Club beat A R Gymkhana by 42 runs to enter the quarter-final of the 7th M S Trophy Triveni Devi Memorial Cricket Tournament, organised by K N Colts, at the Mohan Meakins ground, Mohan Nagar. Rajan Gupta was adjudged the Mishra Sports man of the match.

Scores: Lal Bahadur Shastri Club: 185 for 4 in 35 overs (Rajan Gupta 84, Gaurav Chabra 56, Himanshu 36, K K Dixit 2 for 34).

A R Gymkhana: 143 all out in 32.3 overs (Sudhir Sharma 39, Sachin Chaudhary 34, Manoj Makar 27, Kamaldeep 3 for 31, Narender 2 for 31, Himanshu 2 for 27).

Hewlett tie with Maruti Udyog

Hewlett Packard tied with Maruti Udyog in a league match of the second Eventus Cup Cricket Tournament at the Harbaksh Singh Stadium. Sandeep Tikku of Hewlett, who cracked 51 not out off as many balls with four boundaries, was adjudged the man of the match.

Scores: Hewlett Packard: 115 for 5 in 23 overs (Sandeep Tikku 51 n o, Dheeraj Mehta 31, Chaitaniya 4 for 22).

Maruti Udyog: 115 all out in 23 overs (Anshuman Mahato 33, 19b; Siddharth Gote 22, Vivek Dwivedi 3 for 18).

Ganga School win in hockey

A fine hattrick by Anoup Kumar Sindhu and two goals by Roup Singh Lakra helped Ganga International School, Hiran Kudna beat J K Gour Public School 5-1 in the S S Mota Singh Hockey Tournament at the Mota Singh School ground.

Deadly bowling of 4 for 33 by Satish Rawat and a fine knock of 49, with five fours and one six by Anup Singh, helped Stores and Operation team beat Headquarters by three wickets in the sixth Vivek Aggarwal Memorial Cricket Tournament, organised by Indian Airlines, at the Indian Airlines Colony ground, Vasant Vihar.

Scores: Headquarters: 159 for 9 in 20 overs (Raj Kumar 38, Puneet Kumar 33, Heera Singh 22, Manoj 20, Satya Prakash 16, Satish Rawat 4 for 33, Anup Singh 2 for 17, Nikhil Choudhary 1 for 9).

Stores and Operation: 164 for 7 in 19.5 overs (Anup Singh 49, Tapan Das Gupta 22, Nikhil Choudhary 20 n o, Harish 2 for 29, Heera Singh 2 for 22).

In another match, Engineering beat Commercial by 36 runs. Scores: Engineering: 191 for 6 in 20 overs (Anil Sood 61 not out, 5x4, 3x6; S K Sagar 51, J P Saini 29, Kishan Pal 2 for 39). Commercial: 155 for 8 in 20 overs (R N Kishan 67, Rakesh Choudhary 42, Anil Sood 2 for 22).

National Sub-Jr TT in haryana

The National Sub-Junior Table Tennis Championship will be organised by the Haryana Table Tennis Association at the Ch. Dalbir Singh Indoor Stadium, Sirsa from December 2 to 9. About 600 paddlers from all over the country are expected to participate in the championship.
