Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms. are: Himachal Pradesh: Nadaun and Nagrotasurian 2 each and Kotkhai 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed a little. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Rajasthan, below normal in Punjab and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 42.0°C recorded at Jalore (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed a little. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana and Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 18.0C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 14: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
