Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab, at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in east Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms. are: Haryana: Uklana 9, Thanesar 8, Rohtak 7, Gohana, Guhla and Jhajjar 6 each, Kaithal 5, Ambala 3 and Ayanagar (Delhi), Chandigarh, Delhi Ridge, New Delhi (Palam and Safdarjung), Naraingarh and Pehowa 2 each. Himachal Pradesh: Dharamsala 4, Una 3, Bhuntar A.P., Ghamroor, Guler, Kahu and Nadaun 2 each and Berthin, Jhandutta, Kasauli, Kasol, Sujanpur Tira and Sundernagar 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Batote and Katra 9 each, Jammu 7 and Banihal and Quazigund 3 each, Punjab: Halwara 16, Raya 13, Amritsar 8, Jagraon 6, Adampur 5, Dasuya, Nangal and Zira 4 each, Balachaur and Ludhiana 3 each, Patiala 2 and Samrala 1, east Rajasthan: Pahari 5, Jayal, Kaman and Tapukara 2 each and Deeg 1, east Uttar Pradesh: Birdghat and Kanpur 4 each, Fatehgarh 3, Ankinghat 2 and Kakrahi and Neemsar 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Dabri 6, Bareilly 5 and Hindon, Mathura and Sarsawa 1 each and Uttaranchal: Banbasa and Dehra Dun 1 each.
