Petrol, diesel prices to go up marginally
New Delhi, September 13
Oil marketing companies will increase the prices of petrol by less than a rupee and diesel by about 60 paise, a top official of an oil company said here today. “The price increase in petroleum products this time will not be directly linked with the import parity as per the decision taken by the government at the time of dismantling of administered price mechanism,’’ the official told UNI. He indicated that the refineries price (gate price) of petrol will be slightly higher than 50 paise per litre. The actual increase would depend upon the taxes and other factors, he added. UNI

15 Maoists shot
Kathmandu, September 13
The security forces gunned down at least 15 Maoist insurgents, including two commanders, in the latest fighting in various parts of western Nepal, the Defence Ministry said today. UNI
