CBI closes probe
New Delhi, September 3
The CBI today informed the Delhi High Court that the investigation into the HDW submarine deal kickback case has been closed by it in Germany as authorities in that country have declined to probe the matter any further. Submitting a status report in a “sealed cover” before a Bench comprising Justice Vijender Jain and Justice R.S. Sodhi, Additional Solicitor General R.N. Trivedi, appearing for the CBI said after the refusal of the German authorities to cooperate into the probe, the CBI had decided to close the investigation in that country. PTI
