Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Himachal Pradesh: Dharamsala 2, east Rajasthan: Sikri 4, Alniadam, Mandawar and Panch Bandh 3 each, Abheya Pura, Kota Barrage, Mandrayal and Nadoti 2 each and Bijolia, Hindon, Jawaharsagar, Kota AP, Karoli, Mahawa, Mahavirji, Silishedh and Vardha Dam 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Dalmau 11, Katerniaghat 9, Palliakalan 7, Balrampur 5, Ayodhya and Shardanagar 2 each and Bansi, Elginbridge, Gonda and Kakardharighat 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Kalpi 3, and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 22: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in south Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, north Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajasthan.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in south Uttar Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
