Farooq may step down
Srinagar, June 25
A day after holding talks with Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee in Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah today hinted at stepping down from his post. “This might be my last speech to you as a pro-chancellor,” Dr Abdullah told a gathering at a function at University of Kashmir here. “Time has come for me to go. I have to take a back seat,” Dr Abdullah said. PTI
