Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in East Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Rajasthan: Bhawani mandi 10, Bhadesar 5 and Bharatpur, Darrah colony, Jhalawar, Karauli and Udaipur 1 each and Uttar Pradesh: Kakrahi and Muklishpur 4 each, Bansi, Chandradeepghat, Jhansi, Kakardarighat and Valmikinagar 2 each and Kalpi, Regoli and Varanasi airport 1 each.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.4°C recorded at Nal airport (Bikaner, Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 24: Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Punjab, East Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, East Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. Isolated dust storms or thunderstorms are likely in West Rajasthan. Isolated thundersqualls are also likely to occur in Haryana, Punjab and Uttaranchal.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 24: Mainly clear sky becoming partly cloudy towards evening with possibility of light rain/thunderstorm in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 41°C.
