Three of Dalit family killed
GAYA:
Three members of a Dalit family were killed and eight others, including four children, were injured when armed criminals attacked Laxmipur village of Bihar’s Gaya district on Wednesday night, the police said here. Mr N.C. Dhondiyal DIG before leaving for the carnage site, told PTI that old enmity appeared to be the reason behind the killing. PTI

Flash floods in Meghalaya
SHILLONG:
Flash floods caused by continuous rains for the past 12 days have disrupted road communication in some districts of Meghalaya and submerged low-lying areas, officials said on Thursday. The floods also submerged the roads in Fhulbari, Tikriknilla and Garobadha and damaged standing crops, West Garo Hills district Deputy Commissioner B. Purkayasta said. PTI
