Soccer mania and vacations

HEY Friends! What's up! So you must be back from your holidays and must be keeping fingers crossed for your examination results. Hey look at Fluppy, he is keeping his hand crossed and not just his fingers. Let's ask him what happened to him.

Fluppy: Nothing much friends! I am back from very interesting holidays. The holiday hangover had not even gone and I got this news from my friends that the examination results are going to be declared very soon.

Windy: Hmmm! So what Fluppy, as far as I remember, you were very confident of your excellent result this time just like our Indian cricket team before they leave for a series abroad.

Fluppy: Grrr…There is a difference between me and the Indian cricket team. They invariably lose but I somehow clear my exams. So how can you compare us two. After all, my results are still positive, so what if I do not get a rank every time.

Windy: But our cricket team gets a rank always. Sometimes it is third from the bottom and sometimes if they are lucky that some other team does worse than them, then it is fourth from the bottom also. So are they not good, Fluppy?

Cliparti: Hey guys! You have picked up an argument at the beginning of our meeting and I guess this could never end. But anyways let's share Fluppy's excitement and wish him good luck for his results. Hey! The test series between India and West Indies is over, why not talk about the World Cup soccer as it is going to start shortly. And right now, the whole world is going crazy about it and the soccer mania is on, virtually everywhere.

Windy: That's right, Cliparti. I have put a cut out of schedule of matches on my desk and would make it a point that I watch all good matches. Don't you think Cliparti that we guys are lucky that the World Cup soccer is being held during our vacations. Had it been during the school days, we might not have watched all good matches.

Cliparti: Yeah That's correct Windy. But, how do we keep yourself updated with the latest about World Cup soccer.

Windy: Oh that's an interesting question. You can logon to the site http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/en and keep a track all the information about the FIFA World Cup 2002. This is the official World Cup soccer site and has a lot of information for the soccer fans.

Fluppy: There is another interesting site on World Cup soccer and can be reached at www.wldcup.com. This is an excellent soccer information site and is comprehensive as it is beyond FIFA. On this site you can get best international soccer news and reports. My father is so fond of soccer that he has made this site as the homepage in his browser during the World Cup. So every time he logs on to the Internet, he gets the updated information available on this site.

Cliparti: Oh Well! That's interesting and also a nice way to keep informed always. However, I prefer to read newspapers also to keep myself updated.

Windy: Hey Fluppy, you information has given me a lot of comfort.

Fluppy: Oh thanks Windy. But I could not understand how?

Windy: Since you told me that your father is fond of football and I believe you also. So I guess you will not get the trashing on getting those footballs in your report card. Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!

Fluppy: Grrrr…

Cliparti: Hey friends! These guys are back to what they are perfect at, pulling each other's leg. So before they carry forward their argument lets sign off for now and let them enjoy boxing for a change.
