Star Sports to beam live FI Grand Prix New Delhi, May 23 Ferrari team director Jean Todt claimed the move as being within the rules and in line with Ferrari’s desire to have Schumacher win a third straight driver’s title and fifth overall, which would tie the German with Juan Manuel Fangio overall. But fans at the track registered their displeasure with the move, booing and giving the thumbs down sign during the podium presentation. Schumacher acknowledged his team mate’s moral victory, however, by insisting he take the high step on the podium and spraying Barrichello with the celebratory champagne. Ironically, that gesture by Schumacher could be the one that the authorities use to punish Ferrari because it violates the rules. |
