Harpal Tiwana dies in mishap
Patiala, May 18
Noted theatre personality Harpal Tiwana has been killed in a road accident at Dera Gopipur near Chintpurni in Himachal Pradesh today according to reports here. The reports said a woman artiste was also killed while two other male artistes were seriously injured. They had been admitted to Christian Medical Hospital in Ludhiana. According to the reports, Harpal Tiwana was returning from Palampur after conducting a shooting there. Tiwana who was credited with making theatre a mass movement in the state and had even carved out a niche for himself in the international arena is survived by his wife, son Manpal, and a daughter.
