Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in East Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and above normal in Haryana and Rajasthan.

The highest temperature in the region was 43.1°C recorded at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 20: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 20: Mainly clear sky. Maximum temperature will be around 40°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of April 20: Sky will be mainly clear.
