Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Pahalgam (Jammu and Kashmir) recorded 1 cm of precipitation. Snowfall report (cms): Himachal Pradesh: Patsio 8.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 8.2°C recorded at Ambala Airport (Haryana).

Forecast valid until the morning of 23rd February 2002: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
