Rainfall: Light rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose markedly in Jammu and Kashmir, rose in Himachal Pradesh and East Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, above normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 6.4C recorded at Sirsa (Haryana) and Suratgarh (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 18: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and North Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of February 18: Sky will be partly cloudy.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
