DELHI DIGEST New Delhi, February 16 While inaugurating the block, Mr Ram Bhaj said that students of Navyug School were doing better than the students of other public schools in academic and curricular fields. The school should organise picnic programmes inviting their parents so that they could interact with senior citizens, he suggested. Mrs Mohini Giri and M. P. Chawla, members of the NDMC, also attended the function.
Painting contest As part of the Delhi Police Raising Day 2002, the Delhi Police today organised a painting competition for schoolchildren who are in the age group of 15 years for the fourth successive year. The competition was organised in the memory of the late ACP Ashok Hari, who died in July 1997 while on duty at the Parliament Street. He was popular among the political parties and other groups which used to make demonstrations at the Parliament Street. All the participants received certificates from the son of Ashok Hari. |
