Talk on cosmetic dentistry
Our Correspondent

Ludhiana, February 16
“Smile is the most important part of personality and let the people praise your good smile”, said Dr J. Bindra, Head of the Dentistry Department of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, during a talk on cosmetic dentistry at the Geetanjli Ladies Club here today.

The talk was organised for bringing awareness among women. Dr Bindra said earlier women used to stay within the four walls of their homes, but now time and their thinking had changed. “The women are becoming very beauty conscious and the smile is one of the important aspects of beauty. Your beauty is enhanced through cosmetic dentistry. One can get a designer smile through cosmetic dentistry”, she said. Dr Bindra said the personality of a person depended on mastication, phonetics and aesthetics. Cosmetic dentistry was helpful in improving all these three factors and was possible only through a specialist, she said. She added, “A good prosthodontist always keeps minute things in mind and teeth should be fixed in a right manner”.

The talk was conducted with the help of many pictures of patients. To save the endangered species of Tibetan antelope (chiru), that was being killed for its fur (shahtoosh) by poachers, Ms Preeti Kansal, on behalf of the Wildlife Trust Of India, spoke on saying no to shahtoosh.
