Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, rose in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 50C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 17, 2002: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 17: Minimum temperature will be around 100C .

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of February 17: Sky will be mainly clear.
