Environment main theme
of school function Panchkula, February 12 The students, in their own inimical way, presented the creation of five elements of the universe. Then they depicted the coming of man in this universe and his progress. It was shown that man slowly got proud of his intellectual feats and glorifying in his greed, pollutes the environment. Slowly, his inner voice and his conscious guides him to live in harmony with his surroundings . The choreography then showed how clean air, pure water , controlled fire and smokeless skies make him happy and even other animals on the planet Earth relish in the bountiful beauties of nature and search for his mates. This ended with the children breaking into a song and dance sequence, following his excitement at being able to develop a balance with the nature. The chief guest, Mr G.S. Sardana, Director, Manav Mangal School, Chandigarh and Panchkula, appreciated the children for a beautiful presentation in their effort to spread the message of living in harmony. Giving details, he submitted that the fact regarding Ruchika’s suicide had not even been prima facie established from the statements recorded during the investigation. He further submitted that it was nowhere mentioned in the charge sheet that he was in any manner responsible for Ruchika’s death. There was no connection between Ruchika’s death on December 29, 1993, and the alleged act of molestation on August 12, 1990. His counsel had contended that Ruchika, in her statement recorded during the inquiry, had not disclosed her intention to commit suicide on account of the humiliation she was subjected to on account of the alleged act.
