Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amount of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Rohru 2 and Bhunter, Bhanjar, Gohar and Sundernagar 1 each. Snowfall report (cm): Himachal Pradesh: Solangnala 20, Dhundhi 17, Bhang and Patisio 12 each.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose markedly in east Uttar Pradesh, rose in Haryana and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 3.0°C recorded at Pilani (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 8: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana and east Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajasthan.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 8: Mainly clear sky with chance of thundery development in some areas. Mist/fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 9°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of February 8: Development of thunder clouds is likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
