Three killed in IED blast
Jammu, January 31
Three persons, including two children, were killed and five injured when suspected militants triggered an improvised explosive device (IED) blast at the local bus stand in Reasi district today. Superintendent of Police, Reasi, Satish Khandare told UNI here that a blast occurred at the local bus stand killing three persons on the spot and injuring five others. UNI

Prabhat Kumar leaves for Delhi
Ranchi, January 31
Jharkhand Governor Prabhat Kumar left for New Delhi today to submit his resignation to the President K.R. Narayanan, Raj Bhavan officials here said. Mr Prabhat Kumar, in the thick of a controversy over his allegedly accepting hospitality of a tainted businessman when he was Cabinet Secretary, announced his intentions to resign here yesterday.
