First batch of T-90 tanks arrive

The first batch of 10 tanks of frontline Russian T-90 main battle tanks (MBTs) have landed on the Indian soil with the Defence Ministry asking Moscow to speed up remaining shipment in view of prevailing tension on the border with Pakistan. The tanks, Defence Ministry sources said, were the first of the 310 tanks for which a deal had been made with Russians last year. PTI
