9 bank unions' no to strike
New Delhi, January 2
The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, National Organisation of Bank Workers (NOBW) and seven other bank unions would not participate in the bank strike called by the All-India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) on January 4. In a statement the NOBW said though it was also against the victimisation transfers in Standard Chartered Bank, it had taken the view that work all over the country should not suffer. PTI
