Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: east Rajasthan: Pilani 1 and east Uttar Pradesh: Hamirpur and Shahjina 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 9: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
