Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Himachal Pradesh: Kahu 1 and east Uttar Pradesh: Bansi and Kakrahi 7 each, Chandradeepghat 4, Khadda and Turtipar 3 each, Katerniaghat and Regoli 2 each and Ayodhya, Basti Chhatnag, Ghazipur, Kakardharighat, Mirzapur, Sultanpur and Varanasi (City) 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of 7th September: Rain or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajashtan.
