Lankan troops kill 2 Tigers
Colombo, July 22
Sri Lankan troops killed two Tamil Tiger rebels planting landmines along the main military supply route in the northern peninsula of Jaffna, the Defence Ministry said today. Troops shot dead the two rebels following a tip-off from a man who was forced to help in setting up the two mines and three hand grenades along the road leading to the Kain airbase at Palaly yesterday, the ministry said.
