Monsoon has been active in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Uttar Prasdesh and Uttaranchal, at many places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Nilokheri and Thanesar 7 each, Chhachhrauli 5, Jagadhari 3, Ambala, Chandigarh and Guhla 2 each and Kaithal 1, Himachal Pradesh: Jogindernagar and Paonta 12 each, Nahan 11, Jubbal 5, Sundernagar and Sunibhajji 3 each, Bangana, Dharampur, Gohar, Kasol, Manali, Nadaun,Shimla and Una 2 each and Bhuntar, Bharwain, Ghamroor, Kahu, Kasauli, Kumar Sain, Pandoh and Rampur Bushar 1 each. Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam 3 each and Batote and Jammu 1 each. Punjab: Mukerian 9, Amritsar, Adampur, Nangal and Patti 3 each, gurdaspur and Nawanshahr 2 each and Batala, Balachaur, Dasuya, Ludhiana and Ropar 1 each. East Rajasthan: Jhakham Dam 2 and Gandolla, Nasirabad, Pratapgarh and Tatgarh 1 each. East Uttar Pradesh: Ankinghat 11, Mukhlispur and Regoli 8 each, Chillaghat and Gorakhpur 6 each, Sultanpur 4, Bani, Birdghat, Bansi, Kakrahi and Varanasi A.P. 3 each, Hamirpur and Shahjina 2 each, Sultanpur 4, Bani, Birdghat, Bansi, Kakrahi and Varanasi Ap. 3 each, Hamirpur and Shahjina 2 each, Basti, Bhatipurwaghat, Ballia, Dalmau, Ghazipur, Jaunpur and Lucknow 1 each. Forecast valid until the morning of 19th July: Rain or thundershowers will occur at most places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, at many places in Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in Rajasthan.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain is likely at a few places with isolated to very heavy falls in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal during next 48 hours. Heavy rain is also likely at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh during the same period.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of 19th: Generally cloudy sky becoming overcast with occasional rain/thundershowers by tomorrow. Possibility of heavy rain in some areas
