Monsoon has been vigorous in Punjab and active in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at most places in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at many places in Himachal Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in east Rajasthan.Weathr was mainly dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Ambala 21, Jagadhari 12, Chandigarh and Chhhachhrauli 7 each, Dadupur 5, Nilokheri and Tajewala 4 each and Jhajjar 2. Himachal Pradesh: Baijnath and Nahan 9 each, Kataula and Paonta 7 each, Kangra and Manali 3 each, Kasauli and Pachhad 2 each and Bangana, Dharampur, Kahu, Pandoh and Shimla 1 each. Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam 3 each Srinagar 1. Punjab: Ropar 11, Samrala 9, Kharar, Ludhiana and Patiala 8 each, Balachaur 5, Anandpur Sahib, Batala and Dasuya 3 each, Adampur, Moga, Nakodar and Nawanshahr 2 each and Nangal 1. Forecast valid until the morning of July 18: Rain or thundershowers will occur at most places in Uttaranchal, at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain is likely at a few places with isolated very heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttaranchal during next 48 hours. Heavy rain is also likely at isolated places in east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh during the same period.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of July 18: Light to moderate rain will occur at many places.
