Youth kills girl in school
Nagpur, April 10
A dejected youth brutally stabbed a girl student on the school premises and later committed suicide by consuming poison in Dharmapuri near Ramtek, about 30 km from here, on Monday. The police said the two allegedly had an affair, which was suspected to have gone sour recently. The boy, identified as Hemraj Thakre, came to the Zila Parishad School, where the girl studied, and asked her to consume poison from a bottle that he was carrying. PTI

School teacher shot dead
Agartala, April 10
A government school teacher was shot dead and a CISF jawan was injured in an attack by ATTF gunmen at Tamakari in West Tripura on Monday night. The police said when CISF jawans were escorting some ONGC officials, All-Tripura Tiger Force guerrillas ambushed them. UNI
