Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were largely above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, above normal in Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in Haryana. The highest temperature in the region was 41.3°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of 9th: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in south-east Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of 9th: Clear sky. Rise in maximum temperature and will be around 37°C.
