Rainfall:
Rain or snow has occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Batote and Pahalgam (Jammu and Kashmir) each recorded 2 cm of precipitation.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, west Rajasthan west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, below normal in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 39.7°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of 5th: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in Haryana. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Thundersqualls/hailstorms are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid unitl the morning of 5th: Mainly clear sky. Rise in Maximum temperature and will be around 34°C.
