Gandharva award for Amjad Ali Khan
New Delhi, March 18
Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan and Bengali actress Sabitri Chatterjee on Sunday bagged the Gandharva and Apsara awards, respectively, of the All-India Critics Association (AICA). The AICA has also adjudged Hindi film “Fiza” and Bengali film “Paramitar Ek Din” as the two best pictures of 2000. Manisha Koirala was adjudged the best actress for her role in “Khauf”, Hrithik Roshan bagged the best actor award for “Fiza” and Aparna Sen was adjudged the best director for “Paramitar Ek Din”. UNI

6 NFLT ultras held in Tripura
Agartala, March 18
The decomposed bodies of two missing persons were found and six NLFT insurgents nabbed in three raids in different parts of Tripura since Saturday, the police said on Sunday. The body of a tribal youth, who was picked up by ultras from his house at Burabari village of South Tripura district on Thursday night, was recovered from a paddy field in the same village on Saturday.
