Departures: They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, above normal in west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 34.2 C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan). Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were below normal in Haryana and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 7.4 C recorded at Adampur (Punjab). Forecast valid until the morning of 8th: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and north Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
