HP, J&K New Delhi, February 26 The chief amounts of precipitation in cms were: Himachal Pradesh: Bhuntar, Gohar, Katuala, Kangra, Kasol, Sunibhaji and Shimla — 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal — 3, Batote and Quazigund — 2 each and Srinagar — 1. Snowfall report (cms): Himachal Pradesh: Dhundi — 35, Solangnala — 22 and Bhang and Patsio — 5 each. A hailstorm was reported from Shimla. Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, fell in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 8.7°C recorded at Amritsar. Forecast valid until the morning of February 28: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.
