The youngest MS-certified professional from Punjab?

JAIREET Singh Dhindsa is one of the first and youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), which he completed in the year 1999 at the age of 14. And he claims to be the first and youngest in Punjab.

Besides MCP he has also done MCP+i (Microsoft Certified Professional and Internet Expert), which he completed in the year 2000. He was qualified as Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) also in the year 2000 at the age of 14.

 


Born in August 1985 in the family of Avtar Singh Dhindsa, a progressive farmer, Jaireet has the first brush with computers in Canada at the age of seven.

Jaireet SinghHe felt excited when he sat on his uncle's computer over there and since then his interest in computers started. Immediately after returning to India he ensured that his father bought him a computer at home. And his intense association with the computers grew since then.

As in every Indian family, his parents would always insist upon him to devote more time to studies than the computers, but he always kept his date with the computer. With the passage of time, his interest in computers also grew. He also made software for computer-based teaching of "networking essentials", one of the exams in the MCSE degree.

Since no institute in Ludhiana had the provision for testing of Microsoft courses, otherwise he might have cleared the tests earlier. Jaireet has already developed six Web sites. Recently he launched a site www.LudhianaZone.com, a web portal for Ludhiana city containing special features like chat room, e-cards, weather forecast, horoscope, games, jokes/humour stuff, Web radio-listen and see music online, auction-bid or buy items all over the world besides several other things.

Jaireet want to do his engineering in artificial intelligence from MIT University, USA. His father Avtar Singh has been a great motivation for Jaireet. Avtar Singh went into farming after studying agriculture in the Punjab Agricultural University here. He is one of the leading seeds exporters.Currently Jaireet is studying in class X in the Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana and has set his eyes on MIT University in the USA.
