Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Snowfall report (cms): Himachal Pradesh: Patsio 6, Dhundi 3 and Kalpa 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Punjab and Uttaranchal, rose in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, above normal in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in west Uttar Pradesh. The lowest temperature in the plains was 7.9°C recorded at Udaipur AP(Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of 19th: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of 19th: Hazy sky. Mist in the morning. Slight fall in minimum temperature which will be around 10°C.
