NEW DELHI, Jan 31 — Rainfall: Weather was dry in the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose markedly in Jammu and Kashmir, rose in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, fell in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, above normal in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 5.3 °C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of February 2: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh.Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 2: Mainly clear sky. Mist in the morning. Strong surface winds to prevail. Minimum temperature will be around 7 °C.
