No respite from cold wave
NEW DELHI, Jan 17 — Cold wave continued in most parts of UP, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and north Rajasthan. It is likely to continue for the next two days.

  • The maximum temperature on Wednesday was 15.6°C (60.1°F) and the minimum 2.8°C (37.1°F).
    The maximum relative humidity was 100 per cent and the minimum 64 per cent.

NEW DELHI, Jan 17 — Cold wave continued in most parts of UP, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and north Rajasthan. It is likely to continue for the next two days.

Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir, fell in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were below normal in the remaining parts of Haryana, Punjab, and UP and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 0.5°C in Narnaul (Haryana).

Forecast valid until the morning of 19th: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places in Haryana and Punjab during next two nights.

Forecast for Delhi & neighbourhood valid until the morning 19th: Hazy sky. Fog during night and morning. Cold wave conditions to continue. Minimum temperature will be around 4°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of 19th: Cold wave conditions to continue. Sky will be mainly clear.
