Maruti prices up?

DELHI: Maruti Udyog is believed to have decided to increase the prices of its vehicles, including the entry model “800cc” car by Rs 2,000-Rs 12,000, company sources said here on Tuesday night. A formal notification is likely to be issued in a day. Neither Maruti Managing Director Jagdish Khattar nor the company spokesman were available for comment. — PTI

Robbers decamp with Rs 15 lakh
DEHRA DUN: Armed miscreants decamped with Rs 15 lakh in a daylight robbery in Roorkee after shooting a guard of the Punjab National Bank in BT Gang area here on Monday. The incident occurred when manager of the PNB’s Govardhanpur branch, accompanied by a guard, was returning after collecting money from the BT Ganj branch. Four armed men alighted out of a Maruti car and shot at the guard and fled away with the booty. — UNI

3-day film festival on visual arts
BHUBANESWAR: Art Vision, a voluntary organisation comprising artistes from various disciplines, will organise a “Festival of Films on Performing and Visual Arts” for the fifth successive year here next week. Art Vision president Sarat Pujari and general secretary Ileana Citaristi said here on Monday that the three-day festival would be inaugurated by actress Kitu Gidwani on Friday. — UNI
