Jaipur coldest in decade at 2.5°C
JAIPUR, Jan 5  — Jaipur experienced severe cold-wave conditions last night as the mercury dipped to 2.5°C, the lowest in the decade, a meteorological report said today.

NEW DELHI, Jan 5 — Cold-wave condition continue to prevail in parts of east Rajasthan.

CHANDIGARH, Jan 5 — The day-time temperature rose by 1° celsius in the city today while the sun made an appearance around the afternoon making the day a little more bearable than the previous day.

  • The maximum temperature on Friday was 12.4°C (54.3°F) and the minimum 8.2°C (46.8°F).
    The maximum relative humidity was 89 per cent and the minimum 72 per cent.

  • OUTLOOK FOR  SATURDAY: Fog or mist in the morning. Partly cloudy sky. Minimum temperature on Saturday will be around 8°C.

Jaipur coldest in decade at 2.5°C

JAIPUR, Jan 5 (PTI) — Jaipur experienced severe cold-wave conditions last night as the mercury dipped to 2.5°C, the lowest in the decade, a meteorological report said today.

Thick fog engulfed it, delaying flights and affecting vehicular traffic on highways and main streets, sources said.

The occurrence of ground frost also partially damaged standing crop in the district, they said.

Of the four flights from Delhi only two landed at the Sanganer airport here at 11.30 a.m., airport authority sources said.

NEW DELHI, Jan 5 — Cold-wave condition continue to prevail in parts of east Rajasthan.

Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in west Rajasthan, fell in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Punjab, above normal in Haryana and Uttaranchal, and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 2.5°C recorded at Jaipur.

Forecast valid until the morning of 7th: Weather will be mainly dry in the region.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast vaild until the morning of 7th: Sky will be partly cloudy.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.Top
