Tribune News Service

LUDHIANA, Jan 5 — The Government of Punjab has decided to provide LPG connections to all consumers in the state in order to save the environment from air pollution.

According to official sources, sarpanches in the district have been directed to educate the villagers and prepare lists of the beneficiaries and villagers who are desirous of getting an LPG connection.

The sources said efforts were being made to arrange transportation of cylinders to the remote areas at reasonable rates. All villagers, not in possession of LPG connections, have been advised to submit their names with the sarpanches of their respective villages for getting the connection.
