College entrance dirty
From Our Correspondent

LUDHIANA, Dec 3 — The entrance to Master Tara Singh College is full of filth. Talking to Ludhiana Tribune many students and lecturers expressed concern at this problem.

“In the morning, when we come to the college, our clothes and slippers get dirty. We have to move about with great care,” says Navneet, a student of the college.

Many residents throw garbage near the college entrance, which gets scattered on the road. The garbage accumulates in the pits on the road, says another college student.

The water tank at the corner of the lane leading to the college leaks. Mud, dirt and water accumulate on the unmetalled lane. Driving is difficult at times, says a passer-by.

Many persons park their vehicles in the centre of the lane. This creates traffic congestion, especially during peak hours.

“When we come to the college in the morning, we find the lane full of parked vehicles, which obstructs movement of our vehicles. The same thing happens towards the evening,” says Anju, another student.
