Quake in Goa, Maharashtra
MUMBAI, Sept 5 (PTI) — Several parts of Maharashtra, including Koyna region, Mumbai and Goa were rocked by an earthquake of moderate intensity followed by two after-shocks early this morning. There was no report of any loss of life but several houses developed cracks due to the tremor, which measured 5 on the Richter scale and was felt at 6.03 a.m.

Strike by govt docs
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, Sept 5 (UNI) — Government doctors in Kerala today went on an indefinite strike in protest against the arrest of a Taluk Hospital superintendent on the charge of accepting a bribe of Rs 150 from a patient.
