BBA (II) students await results
From Shikha Puri

LUDHIANA, Aug 24 — Punjab University has not yet given the BBA (II) student a date regarding the date of their result.

Every morning, students hope that the result would be out today, but are always disappointed. There is no one to guide them. Last year too, they were the last ones to know about their results. Students feel handicapped as they have no idea about their exams held in the month of December cover about 50 per cent of the syllabus for the term. This leaves the students with hardly any time to learn and revise.

Says Payal Bansal, a student of the Khalsa College for Women, "Everyday, the wait for results makes one impatient. No one has an idea about the results. The college has also not been informed about the date of the results."

Varun Kanpania, a student of Arya College, adds, "All my friends are going to college and I am left out as my result is not out. Everyday, without fail, I give at least three calls to Gupta Bookshop or Kiran Bookshop. My friends in other colleges also call book shops to hear about their results."

It is true that BBA IInd year students an undergoing mental trauma. Each one of them is worried as to what their result has in store for them. Some students are positive about their results, but there are others who have some reservations about their results.

Taruna, a BBA student, speaks, "I cannot concentrate as I am busy thinking about my result. Even the thought of joining college and preparing 50 per cent of the course for December papers scares me as we will hardly have two months to prepare for them." Even the students, who feel they might get a compartment in their papers, want the results to be out so that they can use all their time preparing for their papers. They envy the B.Com students whose result is out by July and they have at least two months to prepare for their compartment papers.

Ashul Jain is getting impatient with the delay in the result. He, too is preparing for the MBA but it is not the December papers he is scared of but it is filling in the forms. He says, "I cannot fill in the form till I know my result and the last day of filing the form is also about to close. I just wish our results were out soon so that we can relax."
