Blast near House
LUCKNOW, Aug 15 (PTI) — A crude bomb exploded today outside the Cooperative Department building here, nearly 100 metres away from the Vidhan Sabha, but caused no casualties, the police said. The explosion took place less than 10 hours after a bomb exploded in a train near Faizabad, leaving nine persons dead, and two blasts in Kanpur last night.

7 pilgrims killed
LUDHIANA, Aug 15 (PTI) — Seven pilgrims were killed and 25 injured, nine of them seriously, when the truck they were travelling in overturned near Raikot on the Raikot-Barnala road here tonight, the police said. The pilgrims were coming from Googa Marhi — a religious place in Rajasthan when their vehicle overturned, apparently due to overspeeding, a police spokesman told PTI.
