Traders protest against killing of Amarnath pilgrims
LUDHIANA, Aug 2 — Traders at Circular road in the city today organised an angry protest against the killing of 26 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims by militants at Pahalgam base camp in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.

Industrialists plan stir against power hike
LUDHIANA
, Aug 2 — The confrontation between industrialists of the state and the Punjab Government over the issue of power tariff hike effected recently has picked up further with two different associations of industrialists today announcing separate programmes of agitation demanding immediate withdrawal of the hike.

LUDHIANA, Aug 2 — The District Consumer Redressal Forum here has directed a city- based eye hospital and a doctor serving as a consultant with it to compensate the legal heirs of a blind ex-serviceman who had come for treatment at the hospital and was no longer alive.
