Journalist shot dead
DEOGHAR (Bihar), March 19 (UNI) — Prof Adhir Rai, district President of Deoghar Working Journalists Union, was shot dead at Deoghar town yesterday. The police said Prof Rai, who was also a Reader in the local A.S. College, was killed when he was going on an assignment. He was cremated in the presence of several admirers and intellectuals today. The local people blocked the Tower Chowk today, demanding immediate arrest of the killers.

Bangladesh nationals
JAISALMER, March 19 (PTI) — BSF jawans had arrested 11 Bangladeshi nationals while they were trying to enter the country from the Pakistani side, official sources said here today. Those arrested included eight children and one woman. The sources said the Bangladeshi nationals were arrested at Q-head chauki yesterday, adding that some Indian currency and Pakistani registration certificates were seized from them.

Sharif case
ISLAMABAD, March 19 (UNI) — The prosecution in the PIA hijacking conspiracy case will start its arguments tomorrow against the deposed Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and six others in an anti-terrorism court in Karachi. The defence did not produce any witness. According to the present schedule, the defence lawyers would submit their argument from March 24.
